The parlor-level dining room and kitchen of an 1850s Greek Revival home are reimagined through rich materials and contemporary craft. Taking cues from the home’s historic facade and spaces assembled over generations, the design gives tradition an unexpected twist. Lacquered woodwork, botanical wallpaper, antiques, vintage sculptural lighting, and artisan-made pieces punctuate the spaces, while custom hand-painted ceramic tiles echo the wallpaper’s floral motif in the kitchen, connecting the two rooms.
